A charming nursery nestled in the warmth of an Eastcote barn house

Opened 2023

Welcome to Blossom Tree Montessori Eastcote. We recently opened in July 2023 and have been busy welcoming new families through our doors ever since. Housed within a barn style building with original wooden beams, our classrooms have floor to ceiling windows, providing an abundance of natural light. We are located on the corner of Meadow Way, right next to the high street which sits us in a fantastic location for the children to take exciting trips to the Library and shops. Conveniently, we are just an 8 minute walk from the station which makes travelling to and from work that much easier and for those arriving by car, ample parking is available, ensuring hassle-free pick up and drop offs. The nursery is situated close to many nearby state and independent schools which we have built close relationships with.

Nursery Manager

“I love children. I love playing a part in a child’s development, experiences, memories and overall growth! That is simply why I am on this career path. I started off as an apprentice and grew both professionally and personally with passion and ambition, building meaningful relationships with each child and family that I met. Looking back at each day, the key moments that I always cherish are the laughs and smiles I share with others. I am not perfect, but each day the children inspire me to be my best self.”

    Ladybirds
    From 6 to 17 months
    Ladybirds

Our Ladybirds classroom is where most children begin their Blossom Tree journey learning the primary skills. The spacious room with floor to ceiling windows provides a calm and serene environment, enabling the children to explore and discover. We put in place the core principles of Montessori from the outset, encouraging children to be inquisitive about their environment and be independent about the activities they choose, and excited to be at nursery.

    Caterpillars
    From 18 to 24 months
    Caterpillars

As our babies start becoming more independent, they progress onto the Caterpillars classroom where they start to develop the primary skills learnt and develop the core skills of the Montessori work cycle. They enhance their language skills and communication skills as they slowly become more confident whilst developing strong relationships with their peers and teachers in the classroom.

    Butterflies
    24 months +
    Butterflies

Our Butterflies classroom is where the children start actively embedding the Montessori practices. They are presented with more intricate materials and introduced to more challenging concepts e.g. spelling and writing. The Montessori activities enhance the children’s independence, social skills, concentration and they learn about the wider world around them through interactive learning. The children benefit from vertical age grouping, a fundamental aspect of the Montessori philosophy.

    Outdoor
    Across ages
    Outdoor

Our dedicated garden provides a safe and secure space for the children to explore. Each day, we carefully set up our garden, considering the interests and developmental milestones of the children. From obstacle courses to hunting for bugs, every corner is designed to ignite curiosity and stimulate young minds. We believe that spending time outdoors is essential for children's well-being and development and we encourage outdoor play in all safe weather conditions. The children also benefit from outings to the high street where they visit the library and local shops.

    Extra Curricular Activities...

    Monday (Caterpillars & Butterflies)
    Spanish (Mini Lingos)

Our Spanish class is designed to ignite a love for language from a young age where the children are engaged through interactive games and familiar songs. With a skilled and enthusiastic teacher leading the way, our children explore and learn basic words and phrases while also appreciating different cultures.

    Tuesday (Caterpillars & Butterflies)
    Show and Tell

During Show and Tell, our little ones can unleash their imagination and confidence in a supportive and encouraging environment. The children are able to share stories and show special items to their peers. From favourite toys to special experiences, each session the children can find different ways to express themselves.

    Wednesday (Butterflies)
    Mindfulness

Our Mindfulness class provides valuable tools to encourage the children to talk about their feelings, share experiences and listen to others. These sessions not only teach vital life skills but also foster a sense of wonder and inquisitiveness in our young learners, setting a beautiful foundation for a lifetime of well-being.

    Thursday (Ladybirds & Caterpillars)
    Tappy Toes

Tappy Toes is all about music and movement. The children get to dance, play with different textures, and enjoy listening to different sounds! It's a great way for them to learn and have fun at the same time. They'll learn to move to the beat, feel different textures, and express themselves through music.

    Friday (Caterpillars & Butterflies)
    Library Visit & Cooking Activities

Our regular trips to the library offer children the opportunity to discover the wonder of books and storytelling. Guided by their teachers, children select books and engage in interactive storytelling sessions. Through these enriching experiences, children not only develop a passion for reading but also strengthen their communication and language skills.

    ...And Experiences

From trips to the Farm and Natural History Museum, to visits from Owls, a Petting Farm, Fire Fighters, a Dentist and Policemen, we love to provide endless opportunities to the children so they are able to learn all about the world around them. Every year, the children have the opportunity to watch the life cycle of a Butterfly and also get to witness the beginning of a duckling’s or chick’s life as they observe the hatching of their eggs.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Can my sessions be swapped?

Unfortunately not. Allowing parents to swap sessions on a weekly basis wouldn’t be administratively possible. We forecast our numbers weeks in advance so we can plan our staffing needs accordingly.

Why don't you offer half day sessions?

We like the day to be consistent for the children and by providing the sessions we offer, we feel that the children are getting the best out of their day and the Montessori Work Cycle.

What happens when my child doesn’t attend or we are going on holiday?

We ask you to let us know when your child isn’t attending due to sickness or you are going away on holiday. All fees are still payable when your child doesn’t attend nursery.

    What happens on Bank Holidays?

Blossom Tree is closed on Bank Holidays and fees are still payable on this day if it falls on your child’s session.

What qualifications do your staff team hold?

At Blossom Tree, we have a very highly qualified staff team with a wealth of experience. Our staff team hold a range of qualifications including, Montessori Diplomas and Level 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 In Early Years.

What is the settling in period and do we need to attend with our child?

Most nurseries offer a between 3 days-1 week as a settling in period. At Blossom Tree we offer a free 2 week (10 days in total) settling period as we believe that giving your child more time to settle with us helps them (and you) feel more comfortable and helps your child settle faster. We ask one parent to attend with your child in the classroom for the first session which is half an hour. The timings then increase gradually each day until the last session is nearly a full day.

Do the children wear a uniform?

At Blossom Tree, it is mandatory for all children above the age of two to wear a uniform. We can provide details of where to purchase this upon starting with us.

What are the nursery's adult to child ratios?

The Ofsted recommended ratios are 1:3 for the Under 2’s, 1:5 for the Over 2’s and 1:8 for the Over 3’s. At Blossom Tree, we choose to follow a ratio of 1:4 for our Over 2’s and where possible, provide a higher ratio of adults to children in all of the classrooms to help us to maintain the high quality of care we provide to the children.

Do you accept the 15 and 30 hour funding, tax free childcare and childcare vouchers?

Yes, we do. Please visit our ‘Fees and Funding’ page to find out more information.

How do I register for a place at Blossom Tree?

After you have attended your viewing, we will send you a ‘Secure my place form’ which you will detail which sessions you would like to attend. Once we have confirmed your place after checking our availability, we will ask you to make payment for the Registration Fee (£150 - non-refundable) and Deposit (amount of one month’s fees - refundable). Once payment is received, your place will be secure.
